WELCOME TO MOLALLA RETREAT
We consider Molalla Retreat a blessing from the Lord and pray that you too are blessed and refreshed by your time here. We urge you to tour the facilities before your camp date, so that you are informed about the buildings and grounds. Please call or email to set a tour time. Below are some rules, guidelines, and information.
Please make sure your entire group is aware of these items:

BEDDING and PERSONAL ITEMS: Bring your own toiletries, towel, pillow, and bedding/sleeping bag.

BBQ GRILL: Both the Small Group Facility and the Lodge have propane BBQ grills. Propane is provided.

BREAKAGE: Report any breakage or problems to the manager. Groups may be held financially responsible for damages caused to camp property.

CAMPFIRES: Campfires are allowed, in designated rings, if a burn ban is not in effect. Please check with the manager before starting a campfire. The campfire must be extinguished by 10pm.

CANDLES: We prefer candles not be used. If it is necessary, the candles must be completely contained in glass holders.

CHECK-IN: 4PM CHECK-OUT: 2PM Early arrival and/or late departure may be available but must be cleared in advance. Hourly fee applies.

CLEANING FEE: The cleaning fee for the Lodge is $250 and $50 per space in the Small Group Facility buildings (5spaces total). Groups are asked to tidy-up any outside areas used (put all sports equipment away, return items to their rightful location, etc.), bring all used dishes to kitchen, check bunk areas for personal items and prop mattresses up, wipe down tables and chairs in meeting space and return to rack or closet.
Groups doing their own food service must clean the kitchen, following posted protocol, prior to departure. Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee.

CRAFTS: If your group is planning on crafts/projects, we ask that you bring supplies to cover any work area so there is no damage.

CURFEW: Due to a county imposed 10pm outdoor noise ordinance we enforce a 10pm outdoor curfew. This includes the sport court, game room, campfire area, and the decks of all buildings. Groups are asked to take their activities in doors at that time.

DEPOSITS: Make deposit check payable to Molalla Retreat and mail to Molalla Retreat, Box 943, Molalla, Oregon, 97038. Your reservation is not booked until your deposit check and rental agreement is received.

DISCIPLINE – State law forbids corporal punishment and physical or verbal abuse at Organizational camps.

FANS: Fans are provided in each space.

FIREARMS and FIREWORKS: All types of firearms (including pellet, air soft, bb, paintball, etc.) are not permitted. These may not be used or brought on the grounds.

FIRST AID KIT: Bring your own first aid person with a minimum certification of Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR and your own first aid supplies. We can provide you with a lockable medicine safe, if needed. AED onsite.

FOOD SERVICE OPTIONS: Molalla Retreat offers food service for guests who rent a minimum of the Lodge. We can serve up to 100 guests in the Lodge dining room. Alternatively, groups are welcome to use our kitchens to provide their own foodservice. Details can be found on our website, molallaretreat.com.

HEALTH HISTORIES – By state law, organizations must have health histories for all campers on hand during camp and archived for three years following camp. Non-adult health histories must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not require copies of these forms.

ILLEGAL DRUGS and ALCOHOL: These are prohibited entirely. Wine may be used for communion.

INSURANCE: You are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance with your reservation. See Rental Agreement for details.

INTERNET: Wireless internet connection is available. WiFi password will be given to trip lead upon arrival.

LIFEGUARD (HEALTH DEPARTMENT REGULATION): A CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD is required for any aquatic activity. One lifeguard is required for each 25 swimmers; 1-25 needs one lifeguard; 26-50 requires 2 lifeguards, etc. Groups will contract and pay lifeguards independently. Weather permitting, swimming hole is open from Memorial to Labor Day.

MULTIPLE GROUPS: Unless you reserve the entire camp there is a potential that another group may be onsite during your stay. Please only enter buildings you have reserved. Renters are granted exclusive use of the buildings listed on their rental agreement; outdoor spaces are shared. If you’d like to plan an outdoor event during a specific time and there’s another group onsite let camp management know, we’re happy to arrange that.

NOISE: No amplified sound (speakers, bullhorns, air horns, etc.) is permitted outdoors.

PETS: NO PETS OR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS ALLOWED. Leave them at home for their health, safety and wildlife protection. Certified service animals are allowed.

PHONE: There is a phone located in the main lodge. The number is 503-829-6349.

RECREATION: There are 2 sports fields for outdoor games. Also, gaga ball, 9 square, disc golf, basketball, hiking, volleyball, sand volleyball, hockey, horseshoes, foosball, ping-pong, and air hockey are available. All sports equipment for these activities is provided. Swimming and fishing are available onsite. See lifeguard note. To fish you must bring your own gear and license.

RECYCLING: We do our best to recycle as much as we can. Please help us by using our dishes and silverware. If disposable items are necessary, only paper products are permitted. NO STYROFOAM OR PLASTIC. If your group generates an excessive amount of trash, you will be required to take it with you when you leave or pay a dump fee of a minimum of $150.

SMOKING: We can provide a cigarette bucket and designate an outdoor smoking area if you let us know. Please be sure cigarettes aren’t tossed in the bushes or woods. Indoor smoking is entirely prohibited.

SNACK SHACK : We have a Snack Shack with a pop machine. Cost is $1 per can. A snack shack with treats and novelties for purchase can be offered during the summer months. Please let us know if your group is interested in this.

SWIMMING: Please encourage your campers to use modest swimwear. It is also helpful to bring beach shoes as the rocks are uncomfortable. See the Lifeguard section.

TELEVISION DVD/Blu-ray: Are available for your use when renting the Lodge or Stuga.

WALLS, etc. Writing on walls, ceilings, beds, picnic tables, etc. is not acceptable behavior and will result in a fine. Also, please do not use nails, staples, duct tape, tacks, push pins or anything that will damage the walls. Masking or painters’ tape is acceptable.
